rNow some like their coffee to be black while others prefer cappuccino.Some like pasta in red while others relish it in white sauce.Although your preferences in food might not detemine if you will go watch this week's new release your preference in films certainly will.So,if you like your comic flick to be made will loads of brainless oil accompnied with slap-stik and garnished with crazy item songs then Double Dhamaal might just be for you.An absolute illogical ,rediculously stupid delight for those who can stomach it.
Since i have yet to develop a taste for something as blatant as this let me put in a sentence or two remembering the good ol' times when movies tickled us and made us laugh without abusing our intelligence.Bollywood has also been the playing turf for film-makers like Bimal roy,hrishikesh mukherjee and not so long back raj kumar hirani who made fantastic comedies with a good foot hold in realism and common sense.
Double Dhamal carries on the tradition of Dhamaal ,with Javed jaffrry and arshad warsi doing what they do best-make us laugh and be a complete riot on sceen.Instead of Ritesh Deshmukh this time we have Ashish Chowdhry masqurading as the woman in half the film....and going by the stilettoe walk,plunging necklines and huffing n panting he sures makes a lovely lass anyday. The film encounters some turbulent weather with Kangna Ranaut's diction delays and Mallika Sheravat's expreessionless face but as the film progresses we realise the two were certainly not roped in for their diction and face...!!!!Mallika's "jalebi bai" might not be able to topple last years hit still going strong "munni"it will certainly be lapped up by the seeti -bajaaoing crowd.post pregnancy and bringing up twins certainly has an impact of a father's figure-sanjay dutt being a living proof of it...!!
Now since you know what Dhamaal ,the original flick did I am hoping you will be kind enough to not ask me the storyline of Double dhamaal the hint of which i could hardly find. so get ready for a meditative excercise this weekend and give your brain cells complete rest and go watch this flick while others can join me in doing Suduku puzzles and watching this film's trailers multiple times after all the film's best scenes are all in there.
